Pearly B. Miller

Pearly Miller, 84, passed away on July 31, 2018 in a local care facility.

She was born on December 19, 1933 in Cankton, LA to Dejean and Berthilde Broussard.

She will be remembered as an excellent cook who enjoyed cake decorating, gambling, and sewing. She will also be remembered for her great smile. She was a devoted member of St. Margaret Catholic Church.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Susan Miller Langley (James) and James Clayton Miller; grandchildren, Matthew Langley, Erika Langley Holland, Jamie Langley, Morgan Miller, Kaylin Miller and Alli Miller; great grandchildren, Gracelyn Holland and Jacque Thibodeaux; brother, Scurdy Broussard (Wilma); and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J. C. Miller; sister, Berdie (Sweet) Prejean and an infant sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Friday, August 3, 2018 at St. Margaret Catholic Church. Father Samuel Orsot will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 PM until 9 PM with a rosary to be recited at 6 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8 AM until 9:30 AM.
