Peggy Ann Lockett Lampirez, 69, was called to her Heavenly Home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 18, 2018.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas on January 26, 1948 to Edward Lloyd Lockett and Wilma Jean Rayner Lockett, Mrs. Lampirez moved to Lake Charles in 1971. She worked as an Administrative Secretary for Christus St. Patrick Hospital for thirty years, retiring in 2010. She was a faith-filled woman of God, an encourager, and gifted with wisdom and discernment. She was always smiling, even when life threw its curves, for she knew that her Lord would see her through. She was a true friend, with many, regardless of age, looking to her as a mother figure in their lives. She had that special gift of making people feel loved and understood with a compassion and character that transcended words. Mrs. Lampirez was a caretaker--willing to help others, even if it meant placing hardship on herself. She was always loving and always loved, and she will be dearly, dearly missed by the very special people who adore her and whom she adored. Truly, our loss is Heaven’s gain.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory are her loving daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Keith Willis of Lake Charles; one son, Vance Benoit of North Dakota; three grandchildren, Kory Willis, Kameron Willis, and Kade Willis, also of Lake Charles; one great granddaughter, Allie Delaney and her mother, a granddaughter of the heart, Sarah Delaney, of Katy, Texas; and one brother, David Lockett of Chatham, Louisiana.
Mrs. Lampirez was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Edward and Wilma Lockett.
Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. Private memorial services to celebrate the faithful and faith-filled life of Peggy A. Lampirez will be held at a later date.
