Peggy Juanita Cooper Lejeune

Peggy Juanita Cooper LeJeune, 89, of Lake Charles passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. She was welcomed into heaven by the Lord Jesus Christ and loved ones who have gone before her. Peggy was born on December 7, 1934, in Delhi, Louisiana to Myrtle Tarver Cooper and Walter Cooper. She graduated from Iota High School. She went on to McNeese and graduated in education. Peggy traveled and enjoyed her retirement years with her late husband, Kenneth LeJeune, by her side. Peggy’s quick wit and charm caught the hearts of anyone she met. To know her was to truly adore her. She adored and admired all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Kristi Remy; one son, Brandon LeJeune and his wife Tracey LeJeune; son-in-law, Mark Bowles; two sisters, Alice Young and her husband Pat, Betty Trahan; seven grandchildren, Ryan Bowles, Conner Bowles, Linsey Vincent, Cole Remy, Allie LeJeune, Ty LeJeune, and Colby LeJeune; seven great grandchildren, Remy Vincent, Ramsey Vincent, Lucy Vincent, Cooper LeJeune, Amelia Remy, Rheya Bowles, Jack LeJeune.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Myrtle Tarver Cooper; her husband, Kenneth LeJeune; daughter, Melanie Bowles; son-in-law, Wayne Remy.

Her funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Chaplain, Shelly Young will officiate. Interment will take place in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. Visitation will take place at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Wednesday from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m.

Brandon and Kristi would like to thank Jennell Guillory for her loving and caring attention towards their mother during her later years.
