Peggy Louise Koonce Ritter

Peggy Louise Koonce Ritter, 80, of Sulphur passed away, Saturday, January 25, 2015 in the comfort of her home. Mrs. Ritter was born in Jonesboro, LA, moving to Sulphur in early childhood, she lived most of her life in Sulphur. She was a graduate of Sulphur High School. In 1966, Mrs. Ritter began her with the Pioneer Club of Lake Charles as a Bookkeeper and Secretary, retiring as Manager in 1998. Mrs. Ritter devoted her life and love to her family and enjoyed baking and vegetable gardening. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Wade Ritter of Lake Charles; daughter, Patricia Hebert and husband Wade of Iowa; two grandchildren, Darin Hebert of San Antonio, TX and Emily Hebert of Iowa; one brother, James D. Koonce of Sulphur and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, David Crockett and Eula Mable Koonce and a sister, Edith Clark. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 30, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Willie Bellard will officiate. Interment will follow in Big Woods Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue Thursday from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home. The family of Mrs. Ritter wishes to extend sincere thanks to the nurses and staff of Harbor Hospice.
