Peggy Louise Robinson Tupper, 80, was called home after her battle with cancer on July 28, 2012. She passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was met at the gates by her family that preceded her in death: her husband Warren TeeToo Tupper, her Mother and Father, Armonte and Pill Robinson, and many grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Peggy loved her family and loved life! She had an easy manner that meant she never met a stranger. The love she shared with her friends was easy to see when they were together and fun to hear when she told one of her many stories. Her beautiful smile and great wit will be missed. Peggy loved to travel and did so extensively with her husband. They lived in Nigeria, Africa for four years while TeeToo worked managing a farm for Tiffany Industries. In 2007 Peggy traveled to Bangkok, Thailand to spend time with her son, Dale, and his family.
In her younger years she worked as a Surgical Technician at Jennings American Legion Hospital. After she and TeeToo retired then bought a home on Bundick Lake and lived there ten years. This was always a very special place in their hearts as they spent many years camping there with their children. Peggy enjoyed giving back to her community by volunteering for many years at Abraham's Tent. She had a very special place in her heart for the people she met there. She also participated in the Ethel Precht Breast Cancer 3K Walk. In her spirit of giving, Peggy has donated her body to science. Peggy is survived by her children, Dana Bebee and husband Dwight, Woody Tupper and wife Connie, Vicki Tupper Anders, Warren Tupper, Jr., and Dale Tupper and wife Devi. She has eight grandchildren, Wayne Bebee, Tammy Bebee, Christopher Anders, Shana Tupper Landry, Adrienne Tupper Schultz, Chad Tupper, Katy Tupper Young, Devin Tupper, her ninth grandchild, David Tupper, will arrive in October and fifteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by long time friend and honorary family member Adeline Savoy.
While there will be no funeral services, her family is planning a memorial service to be held at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Welsh, LA on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 10:00 A.M.
Her family wishes to thank the team of caregivers at Extended Care of Lake Charles and Heart of Hospice in Lake Charles for the tremendous care, comfort, and friendship they gave Peggy in her final days. Last, but certainly not least, we are also so grateful for the excellence in care given her by Dr. Ronald Lewis, Jr. Dr. Lewis was more than her doctor, he was also her friend!
The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her honor to The Ethel Precht Breast Cancer Foundation, Abraham's Tent, or Heart of Hospice in Lake Charles.
