Peggy M. Roy

Peggy M. Roy, 78, of Lake Charles died at 6:46 AM Thursday, March 3, 2011 in her residence with her loving family by her side.

Mrs. Roy was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and has lived in Lake Charles since 1949. She attended Mansura High School. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her family especially on special occasions.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years Mr. George Roy of Lake Charles, four daughters Jill Marie Dohrman and husband Eric of Moss Bluff, LA, Nancy Ann Edwards and husband Danny of Westlake, LA, Jennifer Lynn Roy of Lake Charles, and Vickie Jane Choates and husband Luke of Lake Charles, one brother Paul Ardoin of Lake Charles, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 10:00 AM from St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Friday at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary to be held at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue at 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM on Saturday.
