Peggy Sweeney Vincent, 81, of Lake Charles was called to her heavenly home on January 16, 2013.


Mrs. Vincent was born on January 21, 1931 to the parents of Mason and Flora Bell Hewitt Sweeney in Sulphur, LA.


Mrs. Vincent was a native of Sulphur and the Lake Charles area. After high School she attended and graduated from Vincent Business College. She also attended Sowella Technical School. Mrs. Vincent worked as a manager for South Central Bell for 30 years. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and was a member of the Catholic Daughters #106. In her spare time she loved to play bridge with friends and she was a member of the Lake Charles Bridge Club. She will be missed by all of her family, friends and acquaintances'.


Mrs. Vincent is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years LeRoy Vincent, one daughter Kayla Rosetta, one brother Terry Sweeney, one sister Sherry Castille, and her parents Mason and Flora Belle Sweeney.


Those left to cherish her memories, are one son Ronnie Vincent and his wife Kathy of Lumberton, TX, two brothers, J.D. Sweeney and his wife Josie of Abita Springs, LA, and Mason Sweeney and his wife Louise of Toledo Bend, LA, two sisters, Bobbie Selman of Sulphur, LA, and Sue Bayles of Herrin, IL.


Her funeral will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Charles McMillan will officiate. Visitation will begin on Saturday at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary to be held at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue at 8:00 AM on Sunday until the time of services.
