Percy Lee Rogers, 81, passed away May, 28, 2011. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Sulphur on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 11 am with Dr. David Holder and Pastor Glenn Rogers officiating. Visitation will be held at Robison Funeral Home on Monday, May 30, 2011 from 5-8 pm, and also on Tuesday at the church from 9 am until time of service. He was a native of Stanley, La and was a longtime resident of Sulphur. After graduation from Stanley High, he served his country in the US Air Force. After the military he worked for Cities Service Oil Co. He later became a Union Representative for OCAW International Union until retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Port Board, the Air Port Board, the Mayors Council, Care Help Board, and a very active member of First Baptist Church of Sulphur. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Rogers of Sulphur; three sons, Glenn Rogers and wife Belinda of Mansfield, La, Ted Rogers and wife Anita of Sulphur, and John Mathis and wife Judy of Sulphur; four daughters, Claire Ann Johnson of Beaumont, Tx, Margaret Darlene Welch and husband Carlton of Leesville, La, Jimmie Chaumont of Leesville, La, and Juanita Malkemes and husband Ray of Racine, Wisconsin; thirteen grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Billy Wayne Rogers, and daughter, Mary Jo Elyn White, and one brother.
