Percy McComb, 88, of Ragley died at 8:07 AM on Sunday, December 15, 2013 in his residence. Mr. McComb was born on May 1, 1925 in Kaplan, LA. He moved to Lake Charles as a small child and resided there until moving to Ragley 31 years ago. Mr. McComb served in the U.S. Army during World War II in France. He was a rice farmer with his father at an early age before making a career in the dairy field. He then became employed at PPG at the age of 50 and retired after 15 years. Mr. McComb was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church in Ragley. He enjoyed working in the yard but he especially had a passion for playing golf. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Leanna McComb of Ragley; four sons and their spouses, Michael McComb and Lisa of Sulphur, Kenneth McComb and Sandy of Ragley, Ronald McComb and Becky of Ragley, and Daniel McComb and Karen of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, Kristin Kingham and husband Jeremy of Moss Bluff and Kyle McComb of Lake Charles; and a great grandson, Jace Kingham. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Scott DesOrmeaux will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
