Pete Lynn Lafleur

Pete Lynn LaFleur, 47, of Lake Charles, LA died on Friday, October 26, 2012.


Pete was born November 14, 1964 in Kinder, LA and lived most of his life in Lake Charles. He was a member of the first T-Ball team in Lake Charles, winning the State Championship two years in a row for T-Ball and Baseball. He was a graduate of Lake Charles High School and attended McNeese State University. He worked as an operator, where he was currently employed at CertainTeed. Pete was a member of Bass Masters and was an avid fitness enthusiast, where he was often seen at Gigi's. He loved fishing, catching his first bass at 5 years old and loved spending time with his friends. Pete also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and traveling. He will always be remembered as a great cook and wonderful softball coach. He was loved by all who knew him and will be missed dearly.


Pete is survived by his daughter, Summer LaFleur; father, Harold LaFleur and his companion, Delcey Matthews; sister, Lana Dougay and husband Steve, all of Lake Charles; brother, Daryl LaFleur of Atlanta, TX and Mark LaFleur of Sulphur, LA; Pete's companion of twelve years, Jacqueline Smith of Lake Charles; granddaughter, Jolee' LaFleur; niece, Leslie Stutes; nephew, Matthew Dougay; and numerous other family members and friends.


He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Burris LaFleur.


His funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Rick McClain will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
