Philip & Cathy Mclean

Philip McLean, Jr., 69, of Lake Charles, was reunited with his wife Cathryn ”Cathy” Rees McLean, 67, who passed away on March 2, 2022, on Wednesday July 13, 2022, following an extended illness.

Philip was a native of Lake Arthur and Cathy was a native of Ontario, Canada. They were united in marriage at Christ the King Catholic Church. Cathy was employed by CARC where she was well liked by not only her co-workers, but her clients. Philip was a Spanish interpreter for McNeese State University. Cathy was a member of Sale Street Baptist Church.

They are survived by several nieces and nephews, including Katie Lynn Davidson, Ryan Rees and Yvonne Rees, Cathy’s sister and numerous extended family of the heart.

A gathering of family and friends for Philip and Cathy, will be on Monday July 18, 2022, at Simple Traditions by Johnson Funeral Home, 3448 Fifth Ave., Lake Charles, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM with a celebration of life to begin at 11:00 AM. Cremation has been entrusted Simple Traditions by Johnson.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
