Philip Richard, 79, of Sulphur passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. Philip owned and operated Saunier’s grocery store for 30 plus years. He was a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church. Philip was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Philip is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Richard; his children, Philip Richard, Jr. and wife Judy of Sulphur, Vera Louviere and husband, Ronnie of Sulphur and Wanda Fournet and husband Geoff of LeBleu Settlement; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Aline Clouthier; and 1 brother Eddie Richard and wife Nelwin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elise and Evelina Richard; 1 granddaughter, Tiffanie Louviere; 1 great grandson, Randy Lee Louviere, Jr.; and 2 bothers, Freddie Richard and Lawrence Richard.
Services for Philip will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 3 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Father Andrews Kollannoor, M.S. officiating. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home from 4-9 PM with a rosary at 6 PM and visitation will resume on Wednesday from 9 AM until the time of service.
