Phillip Andrew Fendley

With saddened hearts, we say goodbye to Phillip Andrew Fendley, 55, who passed away at 11:56 AM, Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.

Phillip is lovingly survived by his mother, Rochella Fendley; brothers and sisters in law, Michael J. “Mickey” and Tracy Fendley of Valdosta, GA, Brian J. and Becky Fendley of Houston, TX, and Brent J. and Mary Beth Fendley of Lake Charles; nephews, Derrick (Jenel) Fendley of Lake Charles, Lance (Jamie) Fendley of Bogart, GA, and Brandon Fendley of Lake Charles; nieces, Kelly and Alicia Fendley of Lake Charles; and three great nephews and three great nieces.

Also left to mourn Phillip are Brandi and Hadley Prince of Sulphur, Phillip’s lifelong friends who the Fendley family will always be grateful to for their amazing love for him.

Phillip is preceded in death by his father, Leslie J. “Sonny” Fendley and his great niece, Addisyn Fendley.

He was a 1983 graduate of LaGrange High School and worked in the sporting goods industry in Lake Charles.

Loving son, brother, uncle, and friend, tennis fanatic and sculptor of beautiful wooden crosses, once you met Phillip, your life was changed.  His infectious personality and winning smile made you want him to be your buddy.  Phillip was a force of nature, we always wanted to be a part of and will forever celebrate.

A rosary service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM celebrated by Father Samuel Orsot.  Following the service, burial will be held at Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. 

In consideration of health issues incurred by Covid, masks will be required.
