Phillip Mark Gatte

Phillip Mark Gatte, 50, of Westlake, LA died on Wednesday, October 26, 2011.

Phillip was born November 17, 1960 in Jennings, LA and has lived in Westlake most of his adult life. A 1978 graduate of Westlake High School, he attended McNeese State University and graduated from Sowela Technical School. He has worked at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital for the past twenty years as a computer programmer. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Westlake. Phillip loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed computers and electronics. He will always be remembered as a loving, kind, compassionate, and giving husband, father, son and brother.

Phillip is survived by his wife, Tammy Powell Gatte; sons, Colby Phillip Gatte, Evan Chase Gatte, and Dylan Joey Ciaccio; mother, Elgia Miller Gatte, all of Westlake, LA; siblings, Naomi LeDoux and husband Jeff of Westlake, LA, Craig Gatte of Topsy, Jackie Hargrove and husband Tom of Columbus, GA, and Cora Allen of Sulphur, LA; and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Gatte.

His memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Westlake under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Reverend Wayne McEntire will officiate. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
