Phong Nguyen

Phong Thanh Nguyen, 36, of Wichita, KS, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013 in his home.

Mr. Nguyen was born in Vietnam, lived most of his life in Biloxi and over ten years in Lake Charles. He has lived the past year in Wichita, KS. He worked his younger years as a Nail Tech and most of his life as a Table Games Dealer in Casino Industry. Mr. Nguyen enjoyed bowling, fishing, shooting at the range, electronics and technology. He also enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends, especially to play cards and sing karaoke.

He leaves to honor his memory, his mother, Lai Thi Nguyen of Lake Charles; one son, Bao Nguyen of Arlington, TX; eleven brothers and sisters, Kim and Hoa Nguyen, Dat Nguyen and Candy Tran, Thuy and Thuan Nguyen, Hang Nguyen and Sonny Vo, Steven Nguyen and Nhung Tran, La and Minh Nguyen, Lily Nguyen and Nhan Le, Duong Donnie Nguyen, Dung CK and Paula Nguyen, Cuong Nguyen, and Trisha and Dang Nguyen and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dai Nguyen.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 25, 2013 in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Father Khue will officiate. Visitation Friday will be from 12:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary service beginning at 6:00 PM. Visitation Saturday will be from 8:30 AM until 9:45 AM in the funeral home. Inurnment at Consolata Cemetery will be later date.
