Phyllis Ardoin LeBleu, 62, of Lake Charles passed away at 12:25 PM on Friday, September 11, 2015 in a local hospital. Mrs. LeBleu was born on May 7, 1953 in Jennings, LA and was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. She was a 1972 graduate of Lake Charles High School where she played the violin and clarinet in the marching band. Mrs. LeBleu worked at Abe's Grocery for over 20 years and most recently worked at L'Auberge Casino Resort until her illness would not allow her to. She was a member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. She and her husband were past members of Krewe de C'est La Vie Mes Amis. They were founding members of Krewe de Morpheus and were named king and queen in the year 2005. Mrs. LeBleu was also very active with the JC's Janes. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and cooking but most importantly she loved spending time with her family. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 33 years, Wilbert "Bert" LeBleu; a daughter, Ericka Farley of Lake Charles; her mother, Elzia Daigle Ardoin of Lake Charles; three siblings, Faye Vest (Donald) of Iowa, Charles Ardoin, Jr. (Barbara) of Corpus Christi, TX, and Michelle "Shelly" McNabb (Russell) of Moss Bluff; two grandchildren, Jozie and Jaden Farley; seven brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Wilton Ardoin, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Orelia and Ernest Daigle; and paternal grandparents, Lucille and Lionel Ardoin. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Monday at 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until leaving for the church at 9:30 AM.
