Phyllis Carol Leeth

Phyllis Carol Leeth, 51, of Ragley passed away at 3:45 PM on Friday, June 2, 2017 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Phyllis was born on February 25, 1966 in Beaumont, TX and was a graduate of A & M Consolidated High School in College Station, TX. Phyllis continued her education earning her B.S in Psychology.  Phyllis worked as a victim’s assistant coordinator in the legal field.  She moved to Ragley three years ago.

She loved working with her potted plants and feeding her fish.  Phyllis had the ability to lighten situations and make people smile.  She will be best remembered for touching the hearts of countless individuals.

Those left to cherish her memory are four children, Katy Bengs (Marshall) of College Station, TX, Bryce Ragan of College Station, TX, Brianna Smith of Lake Charles, and Colton Smith of Lake Charles; a step daughter, Jessica Nobles and her family of College Station; her mother, Jackie Smith of Lake Charles; a brother, Billy Smith, Jr. of College Station, TX; a sister, Jacquelyn “Sue” Smith of Lake Charles; her loving companion, Edward Guillory and his children of Ragley; and multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Smith and her grandparents. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jack Clift will officiate. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and continue until the start of the service. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Terrell, TX.
