Phyllis George Mcdonald Cormier

Phyllis George McDonald Cormier, 70, of Lake Charles passed away at 9:24 AM Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in Houston, TX. 

Mrs. McDonald Cormier was born and raised and lived most of her life in Lake Charles.  She was a graduate of St. Charles Academy.  Having worked as a Finance Manager for Levis Toyota, Lake Charles Toyota and J.P. Thibodeaux Nissan, Mrs. McDonald Cormier retired with over twenty-five years in the Auto Sales industry.  Following retirement she worked at Darrell’s, where she was named the “Sandwich Nazi."  A few of her other famous aliases were "Fifi,""PMac," and "Gigi."  Mrs. McDonald Cormier loved to have a good time, was quite the entertainer and life of the party. She especially loved being on the water and listening to music.  She also enjoyed playing cards, and was a phenomenal cook.  Above all, she loved her children and granddaughter.  Mrs. McDonald Cormier will be most remembered as a devoted wife, mom, grandmother, and sister. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of fifteen years, Warren A. Cormier Jr. of Lake Charles; three children, Wesley Edward McDonald and wife, Heidi, of Lafayette, Alecia McDonald Gallegos of Houston, TX and Timothy Ross McDonald of Lake Charles; one granddaughter, Finley Sofia Gallegos of Houston, TX; four brothers, Kent George, Brian George and Wayne George, all of Lake Charles and Layne George of Tucson, AZ; two sisters, Jamille George Manino of Lake Charles and Barbara Leger of Sulphur; niece, Nicole Manino and great-niece, Carly Isabelle Tabarelli, of Lake Charles. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Kibby George and Dorothy Chaisson George; husband, David G. McDonald and nephew, Brandon Paul Manino. 

Funeral services will be at 6:00 PM Monday, January 30, 2017 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.  The Reverend Doctor Mitzi George will officiate.  Visitation Sunday will be from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue Monday from 12:00 PM until the time of service in the funeral home.
