Phyllis E. Hale met her Jesus for lunch at the banquet table in heaven on June 14, 2017 at 11:45 AM. She was surrounded by a host of family and friends when she passed to her eternity.
She was a wife, momma, aunt, friend and loving mammy to many blessed people in her life. She was the daughter of Cecil East and Flosse Reynolds, both deceased.
Phyllis spent the majority of her life “mothering” young parents and children who attended South Beauregard Elementary by serving the public as a paraprofessional and as the school receptionist for twenty-five years. Her love and care still remains in the hearts and minds of whom she served, and forever will.
Phyllis will be immensely missed and remembered often by her husband of twenty-seven years, Sebree K. Hale “Billy”. She was the mother of Missy Jackson Adams (Thomas) and Joy A. Lambert, who she affectionately referred to as “my daughter”. She had many bonus children that she called hers, including Scott Hale (Jamie Menard), Lee Garrison (Jimmy) and Laura Doty.
She was “Mammy” to several grandchildren who all were her favorite, Evan Moncada (Devin), Randi Layne Adams, and Jackson Adams. And also her bonus grandchildren, Kelsey Nelson, Kory Doty and Kendra Doty. She recently was blessed and thrilled to learn that in January 2018 she would become a great-grand-mammy.
Phyllis was blessed with lots of friends in her lifetime. Sue Jacobsen, Geraldine Gray and Charlene Sirman were loyal and true to the end. She loved them and they in turn loved her.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Carlton Jackson, Jr. will lead the service. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.
The family will be indebted forever to Rosepine Retirement and Rehabilitation and Brighton Bridge Hospice. God sent them to guide us through her journey.
