Phyllis Powers

Phyllis Powers, 77, died at 7:30 AM Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in a local care facility.

Phyllis was born on August 1, 1936 in Altone, New York. She served as a nurse in Wassaic, New York. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She loved bowling and dancing over the years.

She is survived by one daughter, Debbie and husband Jody Canter; one son, Jeff Powers and wife Heather; brothers, Norman and Beverly Peryer, Donald and Ruth Peryer, Louis and Sue Peryer; grandchildren, Kristen and DJ Myers, William Richey, James Richey, Danielle Richey, Ashley Canter, and Brendon Powers ; and one great grandchild, Emma Jones.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Powers; two sisters, Shirley Hinds, and

Mary Decoste.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Johnson Funeral Home from 5PM until 10PM with a 6PM Rosary. Funeral services will be Monday, April 1, 2013, at 10AM at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 8 AM until time of services.
