Phyllis Spears

Phyllis Spears, 60, died Sunday, December 8, 2013 in a local hospital. Phyllis was born on January 11, 1953 to Mayola and Don Harkins in Lake Charles, LA. She loved singing, crocheting, and playing cards with her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff. Survivors include her loving husband of 43 years, Thomas Spears; two sons, Steven and Jason Spears; three daughters, Emily Perkins, Virginia Henry, and Amanda Spears; one brother, John C. Harkins; two sisters, Brenda Harkins Bradley and Sheila Harkins Bradley; ten grand children and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving dog, Ben; mother-in-law, Mary Dowler. Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume Thursday morning at 8:00AM until time of services. Burial will be at Lacassine Cemetery. Bro. James of First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff will officiate.
