Pierre M. “Pete” Patin, 52, of Moss Bluff passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015 in Vidor, TX.
Pete was born on September 5, 1963 in Lafayette and was raised in Lake Charles. He was a 1982 graduate of Barbe High School where he was an officer in the band. Pete also attended McNeese State University and was a band member as well. He was employed by the Railcrew Express and enjoyed his job very much.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #451 in Iowa and also #462 in Moss Bluff and was a former Habibi Shrine clown. Pete also belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star #242 in Moss Bluff. He was a member of Moss Bluff United Methodist Church.
Pete was well liked by his peers and coworkers. His favorite things to do include spending time with his family and hunting. He also loved fishing in Prien Lake where he was raised and spent all of his free time. Pete enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a proud member of a motor cycle club called “Christian Knights Motorcycle Ministry.”
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sally Wilkinson Patin of Moss Bluff; and two sons, Ryan and Dooley Patin both of Moss Bluff.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Paulette Patin; his mother, Claire Patin; his father, Paul S. Patin; and brother, Patrick Patin.
A memorial service in addition to Order of the Eastern Star and Masonic services will be at 5:30 PM Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Moss Bluff United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Moss Bluff First United Methodist Church. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. John Black will officiate services.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family or Habibi Shriner’s Transportation fund.
