Priscilla Anne Ryder Gragg, 76, of Bell City, LA, died at 8:40 AM on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 in her residence.
Mrs. Gragg was born September 8, 1939 in Bell City, LA, where she lived most of her life. She was a 1957 graduate of Bell City High School and a very active member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. “Nanny” as she was known by her grandchildren enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing and working puzzles, but her passion in life was for her family. She will always be remembered for her strength and as the rock of her family; she will be missed dearly.
Mrs. Gragg is survived by her sons, Val Gragg and wife Barbara of Bell City, LA, Tony Gragg of Bell City, Bryan Gragg and wife Natascha of Canton, OH and Brett Gragg and wife Rachel of Charlotte, NC; daughters, Danette Gragg of Ocala, FL, Yvette Logan and husband Glenn of Bell City, LA, and Kristina Cotton and husband Erik of Ocala, FL; brother, Curtis Ryder and wife Nita of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Janis Ehlers and husband Chuck of Lake Charles, LA and Myra Lavergne and husband Reggie of Moss Bluff; twenty-one grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; along with a host of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Arthur Gragg; and sister, Winona Klumpp.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, November 27, 2015, at 2:00 PM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Father Emanuel Tanu will officiate. Burial will follow in DeRouen-Lorraine Cemetery in Hayes. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a Cursillo Rosary at 11:00 AM.
