Priscilla Marie Broussard Morgan, 88, of Grand Lake, LA, died at 11:32 AM on Thursday, August 13, 2015 in her residence. Mrs. Morgan was born June 3, 1927 in Cameron, LA, and has lived in Grand Lake, LA for the past twenty-six years. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Creole, LA. She was a past member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Creole and enjoyed spending time at the Cameron Parish Council on Aging. Mrs. Morgan was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, playing Bingo, gardening and loved flowers. She was known for great cooking, headstrong personality, and her generous spirit. She took great pride in her family and loved them dearly. Mrs. Morgan is survived by her daughters, Mariette Hilliard and husband Robert of Lake Charles and Betty Peavy and husband James of Dutchtown, LA; son, John Allen Morgan, Jr. and wife Geri, of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren, Michael Hilliard, Raymond Hilliard, Kenny Hilliard, Angie Nunez, Todd Peavy, Shellie Lister, and Jessica Morgan; and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Allen Morgan, Sr.; brothers, John D. Broussard, Henry L. Broussard, and Ray Broussard; and sisters, Bessie Ihles and Tootsie Marullo. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Creole, LA. Father Herbert May will officiate. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Creole. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Sunday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
