Quincy Darnell Trail

Quincy Darnell Trail, 33, of Lake Charles passed away Monday May 16, 2016.

Quincy was very well liked and fun to be around. He had a positive attitude and a spirit that would brighten anyone’s day. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, a graduate of Parkview Christian Academy and worked most of his life in the Oil Field Industry. He worked for Dynamic Industries and was currently employed at Petro Consultants where he was a Project Manager. Quincy followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, “The Late Great Boozoo Chavis”, as a talented musician. He was a vocalist and accordion player with his band, “The Doghill Stompers.” He loved spending time with and cooking for his family, from which he earned the nickname “Chef Quincy”. He attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

He leaves to honor his memory, his mother, Licia Ann Chavis of Lake Charles; three children, Radien McCain Trail and Kyara Lane LeBleu of Lake Arthur and Ja’Myree Rachelle Trail of Lake Charles; brother, Mason Jamal Trail and his wife Tressie; sister, Shala LeeAnn Trail; paternal grandmother, Velma Guidry Trail; goddaughter, Morgan Trail, all of Lake Charles and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He also leaves his companion, Jessica Burns and her son, Jaylian Burns of Lake Charles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lionel Trail; paternal grandfather, Joseph Trail; maternal grandparents, Wilson “Boozoo” Chavis and Leona Predium Chavis and one uncle, Anthony Charles Chavis.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Christ the King Catholic Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation Tuesday will be from 10:00 AM until the 1:30 PM in the funeral home.
