Ralph Warren Reynolds, 56, of Moss Bluff, LA passed away Friday, October 18, 2013. Mr. Reynolds was born in Ionia, MI, raised and educated in Muncie, IN and has lived in the Lake area since 1980. He worked most of his life a self-employed truck driver, owner of Ralph Reynolds trucking and Ralph's Trailer Maintenance and was contracted with Acme Trucking Company, servicing Aggreko for the past twenty-two years. During his younger years, he enjoyed riding and working on Motorcycles and old cars. "The '57 Chevy being his favorite" His passion was stock car racing and NASCAR. Mr. Reynolds built his red #76 car from the ground up and took great pride as he started and finished each race at Leesville 171 Speedway where he took 2nd and 3rd place in Pure Stock Division and this year won 1st place. Mr. Reynolds also enjoyed many years of fishing, especially with his boys. He caught his first Blue Marlin in Mexico this year. He was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church. He will be most remembered for his sense of humor, his wisdom and guidance. He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife of twenty-five years, Janis Higgins Reynolds of Moss Bluff; three children, Margaret Rose "Maggie" Reynolds of Moss Bluff, Andrew James Reynolds and Christine of Buffalo, NY and Matthews Warren Reynolds and Rose of Moss Bluff; newborn granddaughter, Isabella Rose Reynolds; "adopted daughter", Desire Foreman and Buddy of Moss Bluff; "adopted grandchildren", Casey, Kadence and Tyler Foreman of Moss Bluff; two sisters, Rose Dudley and Nancy Jones, both of Muncie, IN and sister-in-law, Amy Reynolds of Moss Bluff. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Reba Mercer Reynolds; brother, Jack Reynolds; nephews, Ray Reynolds and Scott Jones and best friend, Tom Lutton. Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 24, 2013 at St. Theodore Catholic Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Father Scott DesOrmeaux will officiate. Private Interment services will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a scripture service beginning at 6:00 PM in the funeral home. Visitation Thursday will be from 9:00 AM until the time of service in the church. Words of comfort to the family may be expressed at www.johnsonfuneralhome.net.
