Ramona “Momma D” Davant

Ramona “Monie” Davant, 53, of Carlyss passed away on May 21, 2016 in her residence. Her home church was the Lighthouse Tabernacle in Sulphur where she enjoyed the fellowship of family and friends. Ramona worked for almost 20 years as an administrative assistant for Judy Goodner at Mimosa Pines Cemetery. She was an avid reader, enjoyed music, and her puppies, Lucie, Sandi and Maybelline.

Ramona is survived by her husband of 28 and a half happy years, James “Jim” Davant of Carlyss; her daughter, Elizabeth Patin and husband Robbie of Carlyss; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jean and Don Davant of Sulphur; her best friend whom she considered her sister, Renee’ “Nana” and husband Bill of Sulphur; and her Mimosa Pines Family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lenard and Iris Boutte.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 11 A.M. at Mimosa Pines Cemetery South with Pastor Allan Upton officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
