Randalin Crain

December 4, 1959 — July 7, 2023

Randalin Crain, 63, passed away on July 7, 2023.

To say she was “one of a kind” was an understatement. If you knew her, you quickly learned her free spirit, tell it how it is, personality was something you would love about her and respect. She enjoyed being outdoors with her family and telling stories of growing up in Grand Chenier by the river and the ranch. She pursued her nursing career after being influenced by her Aunt Sara Waldron; known as Aunt Girly, who was an RN and an idol to her. She attended Baylor University, and gained wisdom from working in Texas and Louisiana. She shared her knowledge with her dear co-workers over the years, whether they wanted to hear it or not.

She had a big heart and would be there to help anyone out at the drop of a hat, always putting others before herself. She was also a hardworking, proud mother who made time to take trips with her kids and supported their activities while they were in school. Once retired from St. Patrick’s hospital in 2019; her children grown, her world came alive when she became a full time maw maw. She cherished her time spoiling her grand babies, cuttin up, and enjoying time with her family. She was known as a Mother, daughter, sister, friend, Maw Maw Charlie, and Aunt Randi. She will be truly missed, but nothing holds a candle to the glory of Heaven where she finally rests in peace.

Left to cherish her memory are her Mother, Madeleine St. Clair Crain; Daughter, Samantha Johnson and Husband Trent of Dry Creek, LA; Three Grandchildren, Briley, Laney, and Kase; Son, Jedediah E. Williams of Lebleu Settlement; Brother, Duncan Crain and Wife Tammy of Singer, LA; Niece, Callie Crain; Nephew, Wasey Crain; Sister, Rosalind LeCompte of Galliano, LA; and numerous other beloved family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Neil R. Crain of Grand Chenier, LA.

A gathering of friends and family to celebrate her life will be held at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles, LA on Friday, July 14, 2023 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.

Till we are reunited, rest well Randi Crain.
