Randall Eric Authement

Randall Eric Authement, 65, passed away on June 2, 2018 at a local hospital.

Mr. Authement was a native of Lake Charles and attended Lake Charles High School. After high school, he served his country in the United States Air Force. He then served 12 years as a Louisiana State Trooper. After retiring from the state police, he became a salesman for Magnolia Life. He was a parishioner of St. Margaret Catholic Church. Mr. Authement was an avid outdoorsman. He really enjoyed cooking for his family and passing on recipes to his children. He was a huge Elvis and classic country music fan. He enjoyed training and raising his dogs that were his faithful companions.

He is survived by his daughter, Erika DeLane Authement Welsh and husband Dallas; son, Randall Eric Authement II and wife Scheri; and three grandchildren, Jullien Lane Benoit, Gracelyn Belle Benoit, and Ethan Eric Authement.

He is preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Billye Authement Fruit; and brother, Ronald Authement.

A funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home at Noon on Thursday, June 7, 2018. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery. The Very Reverend Marcus Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5PM to 9PM on Wednesday, June 6. A rosary will be at 6PM that evening. Visitation will continue at 11am on Thursday morning until the start of the service.
