Randall Fontenot

Randall Mark “Randy” Fontenot, 68, of Lake Charles passed away at 7:20 PM on Monday, November 7, 2022 in a local hospital.

Randy was born on December 3, 1953 in Lake Charles where he was a lifelong resident and a graduate of Landry High School.  Following graduation, he attended McNeese State University and graduated from Sowela Technical Institute earning a degree as an electronic technician.  Randy then began his career opening his own company called “Randy’s Organ Repair” and operated it for numerous years.  He was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 44 years, Kaffy Fontenot of Lake Charles; daughter, Jennifer Newman (Joel) of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Katelyn and Hannah Carras, and Shane Newman; and his brothers, Stacy Fontenot of Lake Charles, Eric Fontenot (Helene Kent) of Colorado, and Chris Fontenot (Cathy). 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Qullis and Virginia Fontenot and a sister, Diane Perrodi

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 10, 2022 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel.  Deacon Anthony Pousson will officiate.  Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery.  Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM.  Visitation will resume on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.

The pallbearers will be:  Caden Burgett, Shane Newman, Neal Sonnier, Danny Maddox, Mark Sonnier, and Joel Newman.
