Randall Keith Israel

Randall "Randy" Keith Israel, 60, of Lake Charles died on Thursday, January 16, 2014 in his residence. Mr. Israel was born on May 10, 1953 in Port Arthur, TX and lived in Lake Charles most of his life. He attended LaGrange Senior High School. Mr. Israel had a passion for cooking which led him to choose a career as a chef, having worked for Sonoco Catering on offshore rigs for over 20 years. Randy had a generous heart that was willing to give to all he met. He will be remembered for his caring and compassionate character. Randy will be missed by all who were fortunate to have him in their lives. Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Shelva Reed and her husband Jimmie of Lake Charles; a brother, James A. Israel and his wife Sheila of Moss Bluff; a step sister, Cammie Edmonds and husband Keith of Lake Charles; a step brother, Earl Devall, Jr. and wife Pat of Lake Charles; six nieces and nephews, Alana Serice and husband Sam, Christa Henderson and husband Seth, Heather Rhodes, Brandon "James" Israel and wife Lauren, Erica Israel, and Joshua Israel; five step nieces and nephews, Steven Devall, Ryan Devall, Amanda Hoback Booty, April Hoback Stout, and Ashley Edmonds; seven great nieces and nephews, Hannah, Jack, and Hayden Serice, Olivia and Luke Henderson, Kayley Barton, and Clayton Israel; and numerous step great nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Miss Kitty. He was preceded in death by his mother and step father, Joyce and Earl Devall. A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, February 7, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate. Visitation will begin on Friday from 11:00 AM until the start of the rosary beginning at 5:30 PM. An inurnment will take place in Consolata Cemetery on Saturday at 10:00 AM.
