A sweet spirit was welcomed into Heaven in the early morning hours on Sunday, November 17, 2013. As Randall took his final breath he was surrounded by his sisters. They held hands and prayed together believing the peace and comfort of the Lord was with them. A lifelong resident of Lake Charles, he worked at Securitas where he received many awards and National recognition for exemplary service. He was a Veteran of the US Army and served near the Berlin Wall as part of his service time in Germany. He is survived by his mother Lillian Moody, his Dad and step mother Lee & Sherry Thornton, his siblings Robert Thornton of Lucedale, Ms, Jean Becnel, Janet McClendon, David Thornton & Kenneth Thornton all of Lake Charles, four, grandchildren, JoJo, Elton, Emma and Aiden; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was loved by many and will be truly missed by all. The Family wishes to express their gratitude to all the friends and loved ones who assisted Randall during his living and those who were there for him during his illness. Randall will be laid to rest in a private family service. "Show me, Lord, my life's end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is." (Psalm 39:4 NIV) "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." (Hebrews 11:6 NIV)
