Randall "Randy" James Chesson, Jr.

Randall Chesson Jr., 54, of Sulphur, LA passed away on August 17, 2023, in a local hospital. 

Randall was born on February 18, 1969, in Alexandria, LA to Randall Chesson Sr. and Lona Sue Lyles Chesson. Randy was a 1987 graduate of Parkview Christian School and a member of Parkview Baptist Church of Sulphur, LA. He was a Jr. Olympic Boxing Champion for South Lake Charles Optimist Boxing Club. Randy also enjoyed his years in the construction industry as a welder. He was an avid fisherman and loved all things on the water, he deeply loved his family as well as outdoor cook outs with all who loved him. He was a loving son, brother, father, and grandfather “little Pa-Pa.”

Survivors include one daughter, Hailie Ardoin; grandsons, Mason and Maxim; parents, Randall and Sue Chesson; sisters, Lisha Chesson and Rebecca Chesson Sheikh; brother, Lee Stacey Chesson.

Randy is preceded in death by one son, Tre’ Chesson; one brother, Lenny Shane Chesson; one sister, Rhonda Chesson Gray; one niece, April Chesson; one nephew, Darren Gray; and his grandparents, Lilton and Lou Chesson and John R. Lyles and Jean E. Lyles. 

Pallbearers include: Chris Chesson, Ameron Sheikh, Jr., Destin Carlin, Vernon O’Quinn, Glenn Moore, and Kevin Gray. 

Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Parkview Baptist Church. Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until time of services at Parkview Baptist Church under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly, LA. Brother Randall Chesson Sr. will officiate services.
