Randolph Edward "Rookie" Landry, 89, of Lake Charles passed away at 4:30 PM, Tuesday, May 12, 2015 in a local hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles and a graduate of LaGrange Senior High School. Mr. Landry worked as General Manager and outside salesman for Berry Brothers Inc. (NAPA Auto Parts) for forty-three years and then Owned and Operated Landry Supply (NAPA Auto Parts) for fifteen years making a total of fifty-eight years selling NAPA Parts and service. He was a lifetime member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. Mr. Landry served our country during WW II in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife of seventy-years, Gloria Gentry Landry; two sons, Keith Landry and wife Jackie (Stein) and Chris Landry and wife Leslie (Landry); three daughters, Cindy Landry Brown, Cathy Landry Hurlbut and husband Rusty, and Stacie Landry Cady and husband Robert; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and one brother, Daniel Landry and wife Joyce and sister-in-law JoAnn Landry. He is preceded in death by his parents Felician and Edea (Conner) Landry; brothers, Cliff and Howard Landry. His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 16, 2015 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Jace Eskind and Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Friday with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM and continue from 8:00 AM until time of service in the funeral home.
