Randolph "Hotrod" Aucoin, 88, of Lake Charles, LA died Wednesday, December 24, 2014. Hotrod was born on March 19, 1926 in Patterson, LA to Sylvan and Edna Aucoin. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, LA. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1944 to 1947 during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He was very proud of and loved to speak of his service to our country. He retired from Cities Service Refinery after 33 years of service in Major Maintenance. He was a member of the Ironworkers Local 678, a lifetime member of American Legion Post 1 and a member Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. His love was his family, working, hunting, fishing, and spending time at his camp in Toledo Bend. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Rev. Russell and Angie Aucoin of Toledo Bend, Mike and Susie Aucoin of Lake Charles, LA, Tim and Judy Gorman of Forrest City, AR and Harry and Donna Aucoin of Choupique, LA; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Pearl Landerman, Level McNabb. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Marie Richard Aucoin; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan and Edna Aucoin; his sisters, Norris McCoy, Nora Lee Badon, and Mary Ann Hanks. Pallbearers include: Tim Gorman, Dennis Lavergne, Aaron Broussard, Mike Aucoin, James Phelps, and Matthew Gorman. Services will be at 10:30 AM Monday, December 29, 2014 at St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church. Visitation will be Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM Monday, December 29, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Gardens. Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
