Randy Keeney

Randy Keeney, 57, of Lake Charles, passed away suddenly at his residence after an extended illness.

Randy was a life-long resident of Lake Charles, a 1980 graduate of Barbe High School and member of First Baptist Church of Lake Charles He worked in sales for many years at Thermal Supply. While Randy loved all LSU sports (especially baseball) and the Dallas Cowboys, the love of his life was his two granddaughters.

Preceding Randy in death were his parents, Elwyn (Spud) and LouEllan Carrier Keeney; and a granddaughter, Julia Ellan Keeney.

He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Garrett (Meredith) Keeney, Cody Keeney and Brandon Keeney, all of Lake Charles; two granddaughters, Evelyn and Caroline Keeney; sisters, Sherrie Beasley (Alan), Lake Charles, Sue Keeney and Sandra Wanamaker (Kenny), both of Sulphur; aunt, Betty Vest; and uncle, Dewith Carrier (Kathy), both of Oberlin; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family of the heart.

Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. Funeral service will be at the funeral home at 1 p.m. with the Revs. Randy Edwards and Kent Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Durio Cemetery near Oberlin.

Memorials are requested to be sent in Randy’s memory to the National Epilepsy Foundation, 8301 Professional Place W. # 230, Landover, MD 20785.
