Raphael Scott Chaumont

Raphael Scott Chaumont, 56, of Lake Charles passed away Thursday, October 04, 2018 in a local hospital.

Scott was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. He was a graduate of LaGrange High School. An expert “tire man”, Scott worked in sales as a Service Advisor and trouble shooter, transferring to the locations that needed support. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and loved to dance. He will be most remembered for his likable personality.

He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Quinton Chaumont and wife Amanda of Creole; mother, Enola Lee Young Chaumont of Lake Charles; three sisters, Dana Chaumont of Lake Charles, Paula Reed and husband Paul of Sulphur and Jen Manuel and husband Walter of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren and many friends.

Preceded in death by his daughter, Krystal Lee Chaumont Dingham; father, Paul Clayton Chaumont and two sisters, Cynthia Stancik and Judith Faye Comeaux.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Friday, October 12, 2018 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Paul Reed will lead the service. Gathering of friends and family Friday will be from 2:00 PM until the time of service. Interment will be at a later date.
