Ravel "Glenn" Aucoin

October 13, 1942 — February 28, 2014

Ravel Glain "Glenn" Aucoin, 71, of Moss Bluff, LA died at 1:30 AM on Friday, February 28, 2014 in a local hospital. Mr. Aucoin was born October 13, 1942 in Mamou, LA, where he was raised and graduated from LaGrange Senior High School. He served his country in the U.S. National Guard. Mr. Aucoin worked as an operator at CITGO for over thirty years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church. He also enjoyed making benches and would often be seen at the Peddler's Market in Westlake. He was a loving husband, father and paw paw and will be missed dearly. Mr. Aucoin is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Stacy Guidry Aucoin of Moss Bluff; son, Allen Aucoin and wife Bridgett of Carlyss; daughter, Shari Odins and husband Andrew of Yardley, PA; step-sons, Parrish Guidry and wife Natasha of Longwood, FL, Peyton Guidry and wife Brandi of Deltona, FL, Parrin Guidry and wife Tracie of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Joshua Aucoin and wife Jennifer, Josie Aucoin, Abigail Aucoin, Riley Aucoin, Emily Odins, Brigdon Guidry, Landon Guidry, Kaitlyn Guidry, Ava Guidry, Madison Guidry, and Adrianne Moreno; and great-grandchildren, Abigail and Joshua, Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Catherine Dugas Aucoin; and grandchildren, Cameron and Jillian Aucoin. His funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at St. Theodore Catholic Church. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Saturday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Sunday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to 1:20 PM.
