Raymond Emerson Reynolds, 54, of Cloudcroft, NM passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2011 in his daughter's residence in Moss Bluff.
Mr. Reynolds was born April 6, 1957 in Ionia, MI and had lived in the Lake Charles / Moss Bluff area all of his life, before moving to New Mexico for the past six years. He was a 1975 graduate of St. Louis High School and worked sixteen years at Condea Vista as an operator. He was a former chairman of OCAW Local 4-0555. Mr. Reynolds was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church, where he served as a Eucharistic minister. He was also a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3622 and was a CCD teacher and lector at St. Henry Catholic Church. He loved music, playing chess, and enjoyed reading. He was known for his great love of God, family, friends, and his community.
Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Denise Hanks Reynolds; son, Jack Leetel Reynolds and wife Anna of Lemoore, CA; daughters, Marie Moon and husband Matthew of Moss Bluff and Tabitha Davis and husband Chris of Mayhill, NM; parents, Deacon Jack Reynolds and wife Amy of Moss Bluff; brothers, Michael Reynolds and wife Tammy of Moss Bluff and Phillip Reynolds and wife Stephanie of Lake Charles; sister, Cynthia Robbins and husband Kevin of Moss Bluff; five grandchildren, Elizabeth and Steven Moon, Kyler and Jack Reynolds, and Caylin Reid.
His memorial service will be 7:00 PM on Monday, October 3, 2011 at St. Theodore Catholic Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Visitation will be at the church from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a Cursillo Rosary at 6:00 PM.
Memorial donations can be made to the family to assist with medical expenses.
