Raymond H. LeBert passed away April 15, 2014 in the comfort to his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 10, 1941 to Horace and Catherine LeBert, the oldest of six siblings. As a twelve year old he was in the Sea Scouts and later in life he worked on shrimp boats. He served five years in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany as a cook during the Vietnam War. Raymond worked at the Dr Pepper Plant for ten years and then worked one week at Guth Dairy until Coca Cola called him back to work and worked for fifteen years until his retirement. After his retirement he turned to what he loved the most, fishing with his brother. Raymond is survived by his wife, Elizabeth C. LeBert; daughter, Oleta M. LeBert; brother, William LeBert; sisters, Cathy Childs and Irene McGuire; stepdaughter, Shelia Fontenot; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother and father; brother, Mark LeBert; sister, Ann LeBert, 2nd wife , Marie LeBert, stepdaughter, Ann Rider, and grandson, June Fontenot. His funeral will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 18, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of service Friday in the funeral home.
