Reata Fuselier Fontenot

Reata Marie Fuselier Fontenot, 66, of Moss Bluff, passed away on November 12, 2024 at a Lake Charles care facility following an extended illness.  

Reata was a native and lifelong resident of the Moss Bluff and Lake Charles area. She retired from the dry cleaning industry, having worked many years at Southern Dry Cleaners in Moss Bluff. Reata enjoyed fishing, crocheting and spending time with family and friends and was of the Catholic Faith. 

Preceding Reata in death are her parents, Wilson & Lucia Jane Fuselier; grandparents, Leon & Rita Fuselier and Kenny and Hilda Ardoin; husband, Wilbert Fontenot, Jr. and companion, Dewight LeBleu. She is survived by her brother, Wilson Fuselier and wife Vita, Moss Bluff; nieces, Mandie Thibodeaux (Joseph); Jessica Ellender and Sonya Fuselier, Lake Charles; nephews Leon Fuselier (Angel) and Kenny Fuselier (Hannah), both of Moss Bluff; special stepdaughter, Alley Hooper and her children, Jared, T. George and Kaylin, all of LeBleu Settlement as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family of the heart.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Monday November 18, 2024 at Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. A Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM with Monsignor Harry Greig officiating. A Private family interment will be at a later date at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Elton.
