Rebecca "Becky" Anderson Lorentz, 64, of Lake Charles passed away Friday, January 23, 2015. Mrs. Lorentz was born in Lake Charles and has lived most of her life in the Lake Charles area. She was a graduate of LaGrange High School where she enjoyed being an active member of the Gatorettes. She attended McNeese State University. Mrs. Lorentz worked for Gulf Oil Company, Splashtown and Auto Nation while in Houston, TX. During her later years she began to volunteer for Hobo Hotel for cats. Her service as a volunteer was always sure to brighten her day and bring a smile to her face. She also enjoyed working in her yard and flower gardening. Mrs. Lorentz had one love that consumed her heart entirely, her son, Billy. The two created cherished memories over the years, especially in their travels to Las Vegas, Hawaii and France. She was a devoted Mom, loving daughter and dear friend. She leaves to honor her memory, her son, William "Billy" Anderson Lorentz and his partner, Jeffery Zhang of Houston, TX; her parents, Robert D. and Norma M. Anderson of Lake Charles; brother, Mark Shane Anderson and Father of her son, William E. Lorentz of Houston, TX and best friends, Judy and Rock Cloud of Lake Charles and many cousins.
