Rebecca Cole

Rebecca Lynn Cole passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023, at the age of 63. Rebecca was a native of Bayou Dinde and resided in Sulphur.

Rebecca graduated from Westlake High School and worked for A-1 Answering Service and then moved to Houston where she married and gave birth to two beautiful girls who were both born in Sulphur, LA, as a result of that union. Rebecca was a passionate animal and nature lover and found peace while on her long walks in nature and among animals. Two of her favorite places to go were Shepherds Rest and The Grove at Heritage Square.

Rebecca had a great appreciation for music and art, and she loved to travel. She was also a phenomenal cook and enjoyed cooking for others. Rebecca loved spending time with her two girls; she considered both girls to be her greatest accomplishments. She was an intensely great storyteller, had a sharp wit, and enjoyed laughter among family and friends. Rebecca will be remembered for her kind and loving nature, and her willingness to always help anyone in need. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Leon Cole; her mother, Annabelle Hardesty; and a brother, David Wynne. 

She is survived by her two daughters, Alyssa Holliman and Rachel Holliman; her brother, Dalton Langford; and her two sisters, JoAnn Von Ekberg and Jayne LeFevre; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 11am. Rev. Marcus Wade will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be held prior to the memorial service from 9am to 11am.
