Rebecca Lynn Areno

Rebecca Lynn "Becky" Areno, 62, of Sulphur passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014 surrounded by her family. Becky was a 1970 graduate of Sulphur High School. She was employed at the Townsley Law Firm for 25 years as a paralegal. She enjoyed the outdoors and mowing grass. She had a love for music. Becky loved crafts and making beautiful things out of nothing. She loved flowers, birds and butterflies. She lived for her grandkids and their sports and church activities. Becky is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jonathan W. Areno; one son, Nathan (Nettie) Areno; one daughter, Penny (Marcus) Wade; five grandchildren, Stacey, Brilyn, Kate, Kollison and Allie; one great grandchild, Ellie; one brother, Randy (Shari) Davis; one sister, Carolyn (Floyd) DeWolf; nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Doris Davis; brother, Larry Davis; and her father in law and mother in law, Abraham and Levera Areno. Services for Becky will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 11 am at Faith Temple Church 1200 Patton Street Sulphur, LA 70663. Burial will be at Mimosa Pines North under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 4-9 pm and resume on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 9 am until the time of service.
