Rebecca Lynn “Becky” Arabie Fischer, 63, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 10:05 PM on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in a local hospital.
Ms. Fischer was born August 29, 1952 in Lake Charles, LA, where she lived most of her life. She was a 1970 graduate of LaGrange Senior High School. While she had a few jobs throughout her life her true passion was being a mother and grandmother. She was blessed to have the ability to be a stay at home mother with her children and again later in life with her grandchildren. Ms. Fischer was a past member of Christ the King Catholic Church and currently a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She completed her ACTS retreat in August of 2014. Ms. Fischer loved her family and her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking. Her “tell it like it was” personality will be greatly missed.
Ms. Fischer is survived by her daughters, Amiee Abshire and husband Dustan, Korey Garren and husband Daniel, and Terry Lee Johnson, Jr. and fiancé Chad Romero; son, Trevor Johnson and wife Amiee; sisters, Kay Landry and husband Al and Phyllis Racca and husband Kurt, all of Lake Charles; father of her children, Terry Lee Johnson, Sr. and wife Karen, of Sulphur, LA; grandchildren, Chastity Rayon and husband Dustin, Macey Sandifer, Zeke Abshire, Madalyn Garren, Hannah Garren, Tyler Romero, Charlee Romero, Gavin Johnson, Hunter Johnson, and Landon Johnson; and great-grandchild, Jonah Rayon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Zeke and Velma Arabie.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Father Wayne LeBleu will officiate. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Johnson Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 10:40 AM.
