Mrs. McManus was born in Scott, LA on Sept. 25, 1919 and for the past 60 years has resided in the Lake Charles area. She enjoyed sewing and loved to cook, especially when friends and family gathered. She leaves behind her two children, Sheldon James McManus and wife Margaret of Lake Charles and Elizabeth Gayle Lormand and husband Keith of Moss Bluff; six grandchildren, Kim, Rohn, Bryan, Traci, Kenric and Alisha, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jessie V. McManus; brother Alex Boudreaux; sister, Annamae Pellerin; two nieces, Deanna Sonnier and Judy Pellerin and nephew, Rodney Pellerin.Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Apostolic Temple Pentecostal Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Reverend Ricky Treece will officiate with interment following at Ritchie Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Sunday from 8:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
Pallbearers for services will be Kenric Lormand, Kerry Grant, Bryan McManus, Rohn McManus, Riley McManus and Christopher Tumey. Honorary pallbearers will be Gibson Tumey and Colt Boudreaux.
