Reginald "Son" Malvo

Reginald “Son” Malvo, 67 years old, passed away on February 6, 2022 at 6:19 A.M. He was born May 15, 1954 in Lake Charles, LA to the late Robert and Bertha Malvo. He was baptized at an early age at New Light Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor M.M. Cuby. He attended Barbe High School and later went on to get his G.E.D. He worked at Lake Charles Country Club, Mayflower Movers, Dimmick Supply, and lastly Mobil Oil Offshore.

Reginald was a great caregiver to our dad, after dad became ill. He was always willing to give a helping hand.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Bertha) Malvo, his grandmother, Mrs. Thelma Veniece, his aunt, Mrs. Bessie Gills of Houston, TX, his brother Ray “pound” Malvo, his brother-in-law, Mr. Marshall Price, the mother of his children, Mrs. Judy Malvo and grandson Da’Marion Malvo.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children: Son, Terrance Lee Malvo, Daughter, Syrita Rose Malvo. Grandchildren: Tiara, Ayanna, Niobe, Gregory, Ar’Manii, A’Vonte and Zori. Sisters: Mrs. Barbara (Joseph) Prater, Ms. Joan Price, Ms. Deborah “Maxie” Malvo, Mrs. Ruth (Jesse) Curry, Brothers: Robert “P-Nut” Malvo, Clifford Malvo of Lake Charles, LA and Robert “Nick” Lute of Oklahoma, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors on W. LaGrange St.

The family welcomes friends to a Graveside Service at Hi-Mount Cemetery on February 12, 2022 11:00 A.M. Officiated by Pastor Dr. Isiah Thibodeaux Jr. of New Light Baptist Church.
