Remy Daniel “Danny” Miller II, 56, passed away on August 12, 2018.

 

Danny was born in Lake Charles on October 27, 1961 and was a 1979 graduate of St. Louis Catholic High School. He then graduated from McNeese State University with a business degree. As a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church he was an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and an attendant of daily Mass. He was on the board of directors and retreat captain for Our Lady of the Oaks Retreat House in Grand Coteau. In his leisure time he enjoyed hunting, cooking, and making rosaries for charities and his family and friends. His family fondly remembers many fun trips to the beach in Destin, FL.

 

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Josan Miller; three children, Sydney Jordan (Andrew), Kelsey Vaughan (Brian), Remy Miller III (fiancée Madison Barnes); grandchild, Stella Claire Jordan; father, Remy Miller Sr. (Julie); sister, Rebecca Burton (Ronnie); and brother, Dr. Dennis Miller (Chelsea).

 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ardoin Miller; grandparents, Melvin and Alice Ardoin; and grandparents, Augustine and Lillian Miller.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday August 16, 2018 at 11AM at Our Lady Queen of Heaven. Reverend Matthew Cormier will officiate. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 15 from 5PM to 8PM with a rosary at 6PM that evening. Visitation will continue Thursday morning at the funeral home at 10AM until the time of leaving for the church for the service.
