Rena Gloria Whiteman

Rena Gloria Whiteman, 77, of Lake Charles, died suddenly on August 30, 2016 in her residence.

Rena was a native of Beverly, Massachusetts and followed her husband’s career in the Navy. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She was an outgoing person and talented artist and enjoyed expressing herself through charcoal and pencil art.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Armond and Victoria Demeule Krevatis; beloved husband, Robert Whiteman, Sr. and a daughter, Brenda Whiteman. She leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Robert Whiteman, Jr. and wife Jane, Lake Charles; daughter, Donna Matthews and husband Brett, Fredericksburg, Virginia; grandchildren, Dalton and Hunter Matthews, Chrissy Ivas; Marie Whiteman; and Victoria and Rachel Whiteman; sister, Joan Kehoe and husband George, Salem, Massachusetts; and  companion, Richard Delaney, Lake Charles.

Memorial services will be at 5:00 PM on Saturday September 17, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
