Rhoda Snyder Davis

Rhoda Snyder Davis, 85, of Sulphur, LA went home to be with the Lord Monday, November 29, 2010.

Ms. Davis was born, raised and educated in Westchester, PA. She was a graduate of McNeese State University. She worked nearly fifty years as an accountant and notary in the Sulphur area. Ms. Davis enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting, collecting owls and hummingbirds. She will be most remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She was a member of Life Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory, six children, Daniel A. Davis and wife Renee' of Sulphur, Trudy D. Sauls and husband George Leon of Gulfport, MS, Rick B. Davis of Sulphur, Darla J. Deshotel and husband Randy of Lake Charles, Krisha Cantu and husband Ismael III and Danielle Gorsulowsky and husband Patrick, all of Sulphur; twenty four grandchildren; thirty seven great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and one brother, Roland Bonsall of Newark, DE.

She also leaves a great number of friends of her family and their families whom she always welcomed and cared for.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald B. Davis and his daughter, Shannon Gail Davis.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 02, 2010 in Life Church of Sulphur. Reverend Bobby Taylor will officiate. A gathering of family and friends Thursday will be from 9:00 AM until the time of service in the church.
